No. Only VS.NET 2005 is supported at this stage.

You will have to wait for the 0904 release later this year which will offer full support for SQL 2008, VS2008 and Windows Server 2008.

Does any know if this a confirmed release date? 0904 == April 2009??

This has been promised before, and I'm still waiting for VS2008 support.

Nope, the version number does not imply a hard committment to the month of release.  This is largely dependant on the QA testing cycles.  There might be timeline shifts if there are issues in the beta/RC builds.  It would not make sense to ship a non-functional build just because of the month/year version number.

Ok, that make sense.

Is 2008 (SQL, VS, Windows) Support expected in release 0904?

Has there been any date communicated for the 0904 release?

Yup, the 090x release will have full support of 2008 tech including Windows, SQL and VS 2008. At this stage it is still to early to predict a release date, and we can only say Q2 2009. As Johnny said this is very much dependant on QA cycles.

Given that SharePoint 2010 will only work with Windows 2008 and SQL Server 2008, and many clients are very mindful of this when building their MOSS 2007 environments, having some kind of indication of the compatibility with the 2008 range of MS products would be good.

Is using SQL Server 2008 and Windows 2008 merely not supported or actively discouraged?  Will the K2 components for Visual Studio work at all with VS 2008?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

The blackpearl version currently in open beta (available for all customers and partners) is compatible with Windows Server, SQL Server and Visual Studio 2008. It will be released soon.

For more details, please have a look http://www.k2underground.com/forums/thread/31614.aspx
