Trouble installing beta on MOSS Stand-alone

Hello everyone! trying to get the beta installed, and can't connect to the SQL Dbase. It's on a test SP installation, single-server, SQL Express

    Thanks in advance!

I think I kind of recalled having a similar issue in another setup.  I think I solved it by forcing SQL to use TCP/IP for the default protocol instead of the Shared Memory protocol.  Maybe you can try that and see if it works for you.

Tried it, didn't go. Checked service accounts, using both SQL and Windows authentication. Now trying re-install logged in as the K2 Service account!

    Thanks for the help!

Re: Trouble installing beta on MOSS Stand-alone

Blackpoint wouldn't install due to the MOSS backend being SQL 2005 Express.

If possible, please log that in as feedback.  This will allow them to fix the issue.  Thanks.

I'm having issues with this also.  I put in a call to K2, but have not heard anything yet.  Anyone else get any resolutions??

Re: Trouble installing beta on MOSS Stand-alone

From the last I heard, SQL 2005 express is currently not supported in this beta 1 (see release notes).  Try installing it on SQL 2005 standard or enterprise.

what are the issues exactly?  Do you also have your installation and configuration logs?  Attach it up as a zip file and we can have a look.

    Attachment: InstallReport.zip

I am running the Configuration Manager.  At problem point, The Database Configuration, I select next and I receive the following:

The following databases have invalid SQL connections:

Hostserver, Catagories, Dependencies, EnvironmentSettings, ArtifactLibrary, EventBus, EventBusScheduler, K2Serverm K2Serverlog, K2SQLUM, Smartbox, SmartFun

Re: Trouble installing beta on MOSS Stand-alone

Sounds like you have SQL connectivity issues.  Did you check whether the database server you are pointing to is correct and did you do the connection test to verify that the connectivity is ok?

I have followed the directions provided and I am getting nowhere.  I tested the connectivity and it was successful

I have installed this a couple of times in different envrionments but I have not seen your issue before.

Have you tried logging the issue on the blackpoint site?
