Hello All -
I am interested in using BlackPoint as a substitute for creating custom SharePoint Workflow Templates in Visual Studio. While, I have read the technical briefs for BlackPoint and watched some demos, I have not tried it out yet.
I feel that out-of-box activities provided with BlackPoint allows automation of several SharePoint actions without writing code, I am wondering the feasibility of using it in a team development scenario. My specific questions are:
- Can I get the workflows created in BlackPoint, in a deployable package like a SharePoint feature so that I can deploy them on a different SharePoint server? Meaning, if I create this workflow on a developer machine, what should I "give" to the developer who responsible for creating the SharePoint solution that provisions our SharePoint site?
- In the demos, I see BlackPearl being used to create a workflow on a document in an exisiting site etc., is it possible to do develop the workflow, read things like site Url, list Url etc. from and application config file so that when the workflow is deployed on a machine that it was not built on, all these context parameters are correct
I would really appreciate your help.
Thanks,
Adrigo.
