    Unable to connect to server on port 5252

    Hi, I need some help/suggestions here ....

    I read some other articles, but seems like none of them matches my case.

    I got this error message:

    Unable to connect to server on port 5252
    No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.

    On the configurations side everything seems to be fine - I double, even triple check, re-run the configuration wizard 2 times so far.

    This error occurs when I try to update the permissions for a user, it is displayed on the webpart as well.

    Netsat shows nothing on port 5252, telnet can't connect.

    The attached is the error lines extracted from the log file.

    I am out of ideas what could be done, or what is wrong ....

    I think you have pne of 2 possible things:

    • the K2 server service is not started.
    • K2 server service can't communicate with the domain controller.

    check the above 2 things and let  me know...
