  • Installation FAIL - "Wrong Type" (db)

Hi. So  I am trying to install K2 BlackPoint on a K2-product-free environment and I am getting those errors here:     Database is SQL 2005 Server Developer Edition. Any hints?

  • Re: Copying a *.kpr or Save as

I think I just managed to answer that second question for myself. I'll post the answer here for anyone who has a similar issue. I made a copy of my files onto a local machine to test this out... I then opened a .kcm file and changed some of the characters before looking at the code module in my solution. When I opened this up I was pleased to ...

  • Re: Copying a *.kpr or Save as

In addition to the question I raised above, I would like to know whether when I copy the K2 solution to a new server I will need to change the references to the processes etc. to reflect the fact that they are on a new server. For completeness' sake, the solution and files have the same filepath on the new server except for the fact that it ...

  • Re: Copying a *.kpr or Save as

Hi, I have a similar query to the original one on this thread. I have a K2 solution, with many processes, code modules, etc... I wish to make an exact copy of this for a test server. Obviously i know I will need to copy all the files aI mentioned before as well as the .ksn file. My question is, will I need to copy across the library .dll files ...

  • Re: K2 XML Parser

I have found the reference to XML again now. It turns out this is in the SourceCode.K2Utilities package/namespace so I assume tha's what you were talking about... Are you saying this is quite stable and is unlikely to be the cause of any problems I have?

  • Re: Timeout in K2SPSList - CreateWorkspace

Hi, We've seen an error which is similar. We're also getting the Timeout error and it's not because Sharepoint is actually timing out. In our situation Sharepoint may take a long time to create the workspace if there is a conflict or major load on any of the tables it's writing the data to. This then slows down the creation of the workspace.... ...

  • K2 XML Parser

When I was looking at some existing code in a K2 solution at work I noticed a reference to an XML parser. My boss told me to investigate this as he thinks that XML parsers can be unstable (memory leaks?)... I was wondering if anyone would be able to give me more clue as to what sort of parser this is and whether it is unstable or not. ...

  • Problem in IPC Server Event IN/OUT direction

Hi,     We are developing a workflow which has a Main(Parent) Process and 2 Child Processes. The Parent Process calls these Child Processes and we are using IPC Server event for acheiving this. We will be updating few datafields in the child process and the datafields in the parent process also should get updated with ...

  • AD Service - Multiple Domain Search?

Is it possible to configure the Active Directory Service so that you can use it to query multiple domains?  For example, I have two domains at the same level in the tree - 'BSD' and 'CORP'.  The Active Directory Service is initially configured specifically for the BSD domain like this:  DC=BSD,DC=XXXCO,DC=COM, and my smart object ...

  • Timeouts when listing instances of process

HiI have managed to accidentally create a infinite loop workflow, thanks to an incorrect value in a line rule. (Yes, insert jokes about N00b error here).  The avtivity that was executing for the past 12 + hours was an IPC Event that was starting a new child workflow every 10 seconds. I think I have millions of little processing trying to ...
